The Du Val Foundation was established by the Clarke family to support young people in South Auckland and help address issues around mental health.
South Auckland is where we work, live and play and it is our desire to give back to this community. There are a couple of ways we aim to do this: through our connections with community hubs (schools, community centres etc.) and through our own internal divisions like Du Val Construction.
The Foundation has been established to create education and lifestyle opportunities for the underprivileged members of our community and in doing so we aim to nurture a generation of young people who thrive.
To partner with community hubs and utilize internal divisions, to nurture a generation of people who thrive socially, financially and mentally.
For vulnerable families, Christmas can be one of the most stressful times of the year. We believe each child deserves to experience a special Christmas, so each year we partner with a handful of primary schools and community groups within the South Auckland area to reach families who will be experiencing this.
Inspired by our friends at My Father’s Barber who deliver an annual Christmas Haul in Christchurch, our team put together personalised Christmas hampers for underprivileged families in our community. Filled with presents for each child, grocery vouchers and a Christmas ham, the hampers are a pleasant surprise for many of our families.
This Christmas, our goal is to reach 200 children in the South Auckland community!
This is an incredibly fulfilling initiative to be part of, so if you would like to donate money, time or resources, we would love to hear from you!
